7 Shocking TV Moments That Changed Everything

3. Dexter - Debra Finds Out Dexter's Secret

This kind of happens in two stages, but both of those are great. The end of season 6 is the first moment that completely changed the show finally. The show until this point was getting a little repetitive, and most of us were craving for another season as great as season 2 was. Season 2 was the shows best season because Dexter was the one being hunted and not the one doing the hunting. When Debra, Dexter's sister finds him just after stabbing the Doomsday Killer through the chest, the show could never go back to its old ways. The finale was coming (well, in two seasons anyway) and this started off that journey perfectly. However, the first episode of season 7 proved that Debra couldn't really process what she had seen, and actually somewhat realistically, she began to make excuses for him in her head. When I watched this episode, at first I was a little annoyed. I thought the whole season would take the route of Dexter trying to make sure Debra never finds out he is a serial killer. However, to my surprise, the episode ended with Debra searching Dexter's house and finding all his killing tools. She asks him when he arrives from a murder if he is a serial killer, and he replies yes. Now, I have yet to see the next episode (it aired on Sunday) but I am extremely excited for the new direction the show is taking. We have been waiting for this inevitable moment since the first episode, and I for one am really enjoying what I have seen of this so far. Dexter is back, and better than ever (hopefully).
