5. Your Friendships Will Be Different (For Good)

A big point in the series was the relationship they had with each other, after all it was called "Friends" for a reason. While most of the times they behave like normal people and helped each other when the times were difficult, their friendship doesn't feel as strong as it should be. And we're talking about people who've met each other for years. Something that you may notice from the series is that none of them are talking or going out with different persons. Most of the times they just talk with each other and that's it. They pretty much hang out with the same group of friends every day, I'm going to explain why in a couple of entries but let's just say that there's a BIG reason why they just talk with the same people all day. I'm sure you all have a group of friends who you hang out with, but you don't do it with the same group every day of your life. And it's a very important thing to have several friends. Granted you'll have a group of friends who you'll hang out the most with, but not all the time. Let's mention the fact that whenever they tried to talk with somebody else, they related horribly with them (for example, how Monica failed to relate with her staff at the restaurant causing them to lose their respect towards her) showing how bad they were at relationships. But probably the worst thing it's that they didn't relate well with their families. Monica is the biggest example about it, her mother treats her like trash and she does nothing about it. When you have problems like that with your family you deal with it in a mature way, not just endure it. In the end, she will never have a healthy relationship with her mother, and in cases like that one it would be better to not having any communication with your family, that just enduring a nagging person. Be glad that your life isn't like theirs.
