8 Best Anthology Shows Ever

4. Electric Dreams

Black Mirror Playtest
Channel 4

Electric Dreams is the most recent anthology show on this list, that was released on to Channel 4 in 2017 and Amazon Prime last year.

Each episode within the ten part series follows a range of sci-fi stories adapted from author Phillip K Dick's imagination, with most of the original narratives dating back to the 1950's. On screen, the visuals are colourful, imaginative and worth the watch if you are a fan of the genre and are tired of the same repeated narrative in every space film.

The series itself is created by British and American screenwriters and includes some big names such as Steve Buscemi, Richard Madden and Benedict Wong.

Much like the anthology shows that have come before, the narratives are all separate from each other, with a new set of characters in a science fiction world, who exist in a dystopian and futuristic ideology.

The budget was not spared on this show as the actors are seen in the most realistic of exciting locations, with moments of thriller, mystery and horror shown throughout the ten episodes of fifty minute long durations each.
