8 Best TV Series From 2020 That Totally Slipped Under The Radar

Mythic Quest is a gem of a series that was seemingly lost for a while on Apple TV+, but slowly people are starting to recognise its brilliance.

The brain-child of Rob McElhenney, Mythic Quest follows the daily workings of a team of online video game developers that are among the world of MMORPG games and their rising popularity. The characters are all well written and slightly larger than life, which fits the series brilliantly and delivers them to your heart with great warmth.

Mythic Quest both makes you laugh and has moments of genuine emotional heft that just don't ever come across as forced or manufactured. Few series have ever pulled off that dichotomy well, but MQ does it with apparent ease.

It is also bold in its creative approach, ditching every main character in the middle of its season to tell the story of two completely different people in one contained episode. Which is the best of the lot and totally beautiful in the context of just how strong the show is in its vision.

The lockdown episode too wasn't your bog-standard grab for attention, it was well thought out and at one point, completely devastating.

Mythic Quest will be back for a second season and is to be seen on Apple TV+.
