8 Cartoons Every Generation Should Grow Up Watching

1. Freakazoid!

I found this show by chance when I was growing up, and thank god for that. Any initial adult humour I grew up knowing I picked up right from this show. It was so ahead of its time, and it was cancelled way too early.

Somebody said recently that if they can bring back Family Guy, then they could bring back Freakazoid! too, and I have never heard truer words be spoken in my entire life.

The show centered on a crazy, insane superhero who just battles constant villains. The show also features a few mini-episodes inside of the regular episodes that included a few more great heroes. Steven Spielberg brought this cartoon to us, and you know what, while I'm here I might as well mention that he also brought Animaniacs to us. I think these two shows, especially Freakazoid!, were what convinced me that Steven Spielberg was a genius on all accounts.

The way Freakazoid broke the fourth wall made this show even greater than it already was, and I will never forget the iconic moment where Wakko, Freakazoid, and Brain all came together for just a few minutes to debate which one of their shows Steven Spielberg liked best.

The theme song to this is now stuck in my head, and it's going to be for at least a few months - and you know what? I don't even mind!

Remember, this is just my own personal list of what I think children should be raised watching. Let me know what your list would be down below!
