6. Pediasure's Picky Eaters

The makers of these commercials almost go out of their way to insult parents, assuring us that moms and dads today have no backbone and can't even stand up to their own children. One of the shining examples of this comes from our friends over at Pediasure, who make protein shakes for parents of "picky eaters" who can't be bothered with the resolve and authority it takes to make their children eat real food. This particular commercial finds a "typical" parent pushing her shopping cart through the grocery store with her small child riding in the front of it. As she picks out healthy food items such as broccoli and chicken, her little dickhead daughter retorts her disgust each time. ("I don't like broccoli. I don't like chicken," she says with her scrunched up, snotty little face.) So instead of telling her awful goblin child that she needs to eat these foods because YOU'RE 5-YEARS-OLD AND I'M NOT HAVING AN ARGUMENT ABOUT THIS WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN'T EVEN WIPE THEIR OWN REAR PROPERLY, she picks up a six-pack of what amounts to chocolate-flavored milkshakes that kids love because they're chockfull of sugar. Because that's... parenting?
