7. The New (And Returning) Cast Members
At New York Comic Con, we learned that Lauren Cohan is returning to the show as Maggie Rhee in Season 10. That’s great news, as she’s an original character from the early years of the show, whose story was left open ended. It should be exciting to find out what she’s been up to during the time skip, what her son Hershel Jr. now looks like, and what she’s been doing with Georgie.
Beyond that, the show has also added on a few notable new cast members too. Dante, a Hilltop soldier from the comics, was introduced in the premiere as a doctor at Alexandria. His unique cocky attitude should be fun to watch onscreen, and his relationship with Maggie can be explored with her return.
The other big name is the recent news that ‘The Princess’ has been cast. Otherwise known as Juanita Sanchez, she is a survivor the group encounter on an expedition to the Commonwealth. Her arrival also signals a different thing altogether: the pacing. She does not arrive in the comic book for another three volumes, meaning the show will be making the most of the source material, but more on that later.
