It's a well regarded fact amongst Doctor Who fans that Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor single-handedly made bow ties cool again. Get ready to burst that bubble. Of course, you're here to tell your Whovian friend that, regrettably, they're not, and as such they should probably refrain from wearing their officially licensed BBC replica in public. For maximum impact, it's even better if they're psychically wearing one when you break the news that their choice of wardrobe has been based on a foundation of exaggerated lies. That way you can rejoice in their heartbreak as they're forced to remove it at your instruction. That goes for Fezzes, too. If they retaliate, as Whovians often do, by announcing that sales of bow ties have actually increased by 94% after the premiere of Matt Smith's first episode "because Uber Facts said so", tell them that Uber Facts are liars and that all of those bow ties were purchased by one incredibly lonely, but admittedly exceedingly wealthy, Doctor Who fan with an uncontrollable necktie addiction. Once the fun has worn off, don't forget to let them know that it was all in good jest so they can pop their bow tie back on. And then you can put yours on, too.
