If you're not an avid follower of the Doctor's adventures, you can be forgiven for not knowing that 'TARDIS' actually stands for 'Time And Relative Dimensions in Space'. Once you're partial to this exciting new information, though, don't expect to be so easily pardoned when you still insist on spelling it 'Tardis'. Not only is this rookie mistake bound to rub all the literary buffs up the wrong way for being a grammatical error of epic proportions (one that's bigger on the inside, you might say...), it will also be taken as a complete slap in the face to everything that Doctor Who fans have strived so hard to maintain about their fandom over the last 51 years. After all, 'TARDIS' is an acronym, and as such it should always be spelt as one. Otherwise, what is the point of living!?
