What would the video game world be without the likes of Hideo Kojima, Cliff Bleszinski and Markus ‘Notch’ Persson? As video games have become massive elaborate productions, creative minds with eccentric personalities have emerged to deliver these experiences.
Westworld clearly recognised the need for such a personality at the helm of their made-up world and enlisted the help of Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Robert Ford. The show has only just begun to delve further into the mind of Ford, however we have already seen that he is unpredictable, eccentric but ultimately a genius.
Even Ford’s philosophies regarding the Westworld theme park have been recognised by Kojima as the way in which views his games. The similarities don't end there with the relationship between Ford and the park's corporate owners, DELOS, starting to mirror the fractured relationship Kojima had with KONAMI.
