9 Game Of Thrones Characters Who Need Spin-Off Shows
5. The Night King
The White Walkers were the one true evil entity in Game of Thrones, which superbly built up their invasion of Westeros led by the Night King in the ultimate slowburn which started with the very first pre-credits scene in episode one. Fans were then hugely disappointed when the Night King was so easily dispatched, after he was taken out by Arya Stark with a knife made of Dragon Glass in just one single episode of the final season.
Although this was an epic climatic episode to their story, Game of Thrones could have done with a season purely to round off their narrative before showing us the war between Daenerys and Cersei. Such a season could also have explored the origin story of the Night King in much further detail; something that was merely touched on in earlier seasons. The White Walkers, or indeed any events north of Kings Landing, have not yet featured in House of the Dragon, but a show delving deep into the history and beginnings of the powerful demons would be a welcome addition.
This could also explore the early days of the Nights Watch and building of the Wall that was constructed in order to keep their deadly threat away from Westeros. There are so many different directions that the telling of their story could take, making up for the way in which the Night King was ultimately so quickly dealt with at the end of Game of Thrones.
