9 Game Of Thrones Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

7. Littlefinger Uncannily Predicts The Season 4 Finale

In season four€™s €˜The Mountain And The Viper€™, the devious Littlefinger is attempting to reassure the terrified lordling Robin Arryn that leaving the Eyrie isn€™t going to result in his certain doom, telling him:
€œPeople die at their dinner tables. They die in their beds. They die squatting over their chamber pots. Everybody dies sooner or later. And don€™t worry about your death. Worry about your life. Take charge of your life for as long as it lasts.€
Words of wisdom, but not advice we€™d normally give to a spoiled little boy who€™s just lost his doting and deranged mother, especially not if we were the one that had killed her. What€™s striking though, is how this throwaway little speech seems to predict the culmination of season four itself, with Tyrion€™s murder, first of his ex-lover Shae in bed, and then his own father while the man€™s on the toilet. Given how Petyr €˜Littlefinger€™ Baelish seems to know everything that€™s going to happen in King€™s Landing hours before the events actually take place, it might come as no surprise if he€™d genuinely predicted what was about to happen€ except how can he possibly have known what Tyrion would do, or who to, where, and when? No, this is a little dramatic irony written into the episode €“ some foreshadowing, probably specifically for book-readers, who do delight in knowing what€™s about to happen in the show and then acting all surprised when people complain about spoilers.
