9 Game Of Thrones Warriors Who Could Defeat The Night's King

"I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R'hllor shows me only Snow." 

Azor Ahai is the great warrior prophesied to return when the night is darkest to defeat the White Walkers. Melisandre believed Stannis was Azor reincarnated, but clearly that wasn't the case given that he's (probably) just met his maker.

There is another obvious candidate, however. 

Sure, Jon was knifed repeatedly by his traitorous Night's Watch brothers and Ollie (Grrrr!) , and he may well be "dead", but there is no way in seven hells Melisandre showing up at Castle Black just before that happened is mere coincidence. We know the Red Priests that worship R'hllor can return the dead to life, so the safe money's on Mel doing just that for Jon Snow - but he would no longer be the bastard of Winterfell, rather Azor Ahai reborn. 

At least, that's what fans hope will happen! Again, Martin never likes to be predictable, so this could happen a very different way (in the book it's implied that Jon might have warged into Ghost just before he died) but despite what everyone involved with the show is saying, you can bet we haven't seen the last of Jonny boy - and when he comes back it's time for round 2 with you-know-who.
