9 Great TV Characters Underused In Their Show's Final Season

1. Cersei Lannister - Game Of Thrones

Much of the action in the final season of Game of Thrones takes place up North, as the Army of the Living takes on the Army of the Dead. Cersei Lannister, refusing to join the cause, stays in the Red Keep, sitting out the massive zombie battle.

Even in the second half of the season, which deals with Daenerys's conquest of King's Landing, Cersei doesn't have that large of a role. She misses two episodes in a row, and then only appears at the tail end of the next. Though she has a lot of screen time in The Bells, the fifth episode of the season, she spends much of it staring out a window, and gets crushed by falling rocks at the end.

If you have an actress like Lena Headey in your show, there is no reason not to use her. Headey ruled both Westeros and the screen for the first seven seasons, so giving her little to do in the eighth makes no sense. Cersei, and the show, deserved a much better ending.
