Whether it's HBO producing a Game of Thrones prequel in spite of the lukewarm reception received by the original's finale or Amazon's unprecedented spending of a billion dollars on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power or even Netflix shoveling a fortune into both a prequel to The Witcher and an animated spin-off movie before The Witcher has even concluded, it is clear that streaming services consider fantasy a hot genre right now. Maybe it's time for Paramount to get in on that sweet, sweet fantasy coin.

A series based on Kahless the Unforgettable, the idealized first Klingon emperor, would be a medieval fantasy like Game of Thrones but with the science fiction twist of being set in the Star Trek universe. Like Game of Thrones, Kahless the Unforgettable would feature epic battles, court intrigue, love and sex, and fantastical creatures.

It would follow Kahless as he rises from a common soldier to the one warrior courageous enough to face the powerful tyrant Molar. It would depict both iconic moments from Klingon mythology and the character moments in between that shaped the man into a legend. Several Klingon characters such as Molar, Kahless's brother Morath, and the love of Kahless's life, Lady Lurka, would get their first onscreen portrayals.

And most excitingly, it would give fans the first depiction of the 'real' Kahless. Earlier portrayals were a simulation by aliens exploring good and evil and a clone created by Klingon monks over eager for Kahless's second coming.
