9 Stephen King Adaptations Coming To TV In 2020 And Beyond

3. Lisey's Story

The Stand
Scribner

Many people are unaware that Stephen King was hit by a van and nearly killed in 1999. This event changed his whole world view and informed a lot of the books he wrote after the event. None so much as Lisey's Story, written from the perspective of the widow of an extremely successful novelist. It follows Lisey as she recalls the past and faces the present danger of a crazed stalker/fan of her husband.

King considers this one of his favourite novels and has committed to scripting all eight episodes of a mini-series starring Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, and Dane DeHaan.

Although there is no release date yet, the fact that a full cast is already announced is a good sign. This could easily release late 2020.
