American Horror Story: 10 Most F**ked Up Characters (So Far)
From Santa to serial killers, the 10 most f**ked up characters (so far) in American Horror Story!
American Horror Story sets itself as the pinnacle of messed up entertainment, matched in psychos only by the likes of Bates Motel, and The Walking Dead's bat-swinging Negan. The trick of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology is that he has you root for the bad guys even when you shouldn't. Even the likes of Myrtle Snow, and this season returnee Lana Winters, have you asking "is anyone actually good on American Horror Story?"
With six seasons of murder houses, asylums and witches, we have met some pretty f**ked up characters - there have been killer clowns, rubber gimps, and some badass Jessica Langes. It looks like this season will be no different, as Finn Wittrock's latest character, Jether Polk, has been dubbed by Murphy and the actor his most f**cked up portrayal yet. With Wittrock's history of portraying messed up sociopaths on the show, we are sure in for a bumpy ride.
The current season seems to be going down a Texas Chainsaw Massacre route, which even for Horror Story is likely to be pretty heavy on the violence. Only time will tell how trully messed up Jether Polk will be. With that in mind, let's look at some of the demons, deviants and daddies who have graced our screens over the past 6 years as American Horror Story's most f**cked up characters.
10. Constance Langdon
Portrayed By: Jessica Lange
Season: 1 - Murder House
Sometimes the originals are always the best, and Jessica Lange's premiere performance as the scorned murderess set the tone for (most) of her characters in her four season stint. Sure, Sister Jude was sadistic, but she was a woman of God - Constance's only god was liquor.
After murdering her husband in cold blood, Constance then shot Moira the maid, cursing an aged Frances Conroy to be trapped in the infamous Murder House forever. There were elements of Constance that were good, such as trying to help her daughter Adelaide and befriending Vivien Harmon, but there was always an element of cunning. In the end Constance proved that she would do whatever she could to get what she wanted, and that included letting the Harmon family die in the house. We will never know what happened to Constance, but it is presumed she covered for her son's gruesome murder of the family nanny.
