In a smaller, side story during the second season, the audience is shown a conversation between Oliver's mother and his girlfriend, who is pregnant with his child. Instead of choosing to help her son and grandson live together, Moira decides to pay off Sandra and make her leave town. In Moira's eyes, she is saving her son and her family. In Sandra's eyes, she will never have to worry about paying for her son. Win-win right? During the recent Arrow/Flash crossover, Oliver briefly bumps into Sandra in Central City. This is a plot device to remind viewers that Oliver's child is still out there. While he can only be very young, his mere existence can cause a world of chaos for Oliver Queen. It is yet to be seen what direction this sub-plot will take in the series, although it is a safe bet that Connor will not become the Green (or Red) Arrow in this season or the next.
