Arrow: 10 Things Season 4 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

4. Making Oliver Weaker

Adding more humanity to Oliver has proved a double-edged sword. On one hand, his quest for a normal life had made him more relatable and fleshed out, on the other, it seems to have caused his Green Arrow persona to suffer. Over the last three seasons, Oliver has proved himself to be an extremely adept fighter, but in the latest episodes, he seems to be getting beaten on a regular basis, or at the very least, requires the help of his entire team to bail him out. A large part of this comes from the fact that his foe is so incredibly overpowered compared to him. Darhk comes across as a fantastic villain as a result of his power, but the trade-off is that Oliver can barely touch him every time they meet. It€™s good that Oliver should have obstacles to overcome, and shouldn€™t just be able to punch the big bad one time and end the fight, but cumulatively, all of these occurrences have made the Green Arrow come across like a much more ineffective hero this year.
