2. Nyssa Al Ghul
Background: Seen as a child via flashback in Season 3, young Nyssa al Ghul was the individual to welcome Malcolm Merlyn into the League of Assassins and name him "the Magician." As an adult, Nyssa arrived in Starling City in Season 2's "Heir to the Demon" to bring her beloved Sara back to the League. She first attacks Laurel and then Dinah to try to coerce Sara into cooperation; when Sara poisons herself rather than agree to return, the heartbroken Nyssa releases her from the League. In all of her appearances thus far, Nyssa has vacillated from friend to foe. Despite the violence of her first adult appearance, she truly loved Sara and played a pivotal role in saving Starling from Slade Wilson at Sara's request at the end of Season 2. Sadly, Sara's death in the Season 3 premiere and Oliver's mishandling of the aftermath have left Nyssa firmly on the side of her father. Motivation To Join: Nyssa may be violently anti-Oliver at the moment, but her love for Sara has always managed to override her more bloodthirsty tendencies. When Oliver's true motivation for challenging Ra's inevitably comes to light, Nyssa may be able to forgive both Queen siblings and focus her rage on Malcolm. With a common enemy to Team Arrow and a desire to honor her fallen lover, Nyssa could be a great addition to Starling's gallery of vigilantes. Skills: As the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, Nyssa is proficient in most forms of combat. Favoring archery and swordplay, Nyssa's myriad of physical abilities has allowed her to take on many opponents at once as well as battle some of Arrow's greatest warriors to a draw. Intelligent, inventive, and acrobatic, Nyssa is one of the most formidable fighters ever featured on the show. Availability: Otherwise occupied. Nyssa serves as the right hand of Ra's al Ghul and keeps busy as a master assassin for the League.
