Arrow: 8 Plot Threads That Need Resolving In Season 4
6. Will The Suicide Squad Re-Appear?
Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad, have made two appearances in Arrow now - one in season 2s episode which took its name from them, and then in last seasons Suicidal Tendancies. The second episode didnt quite hit the heights of the first, partly because of trying to fit an awful lot into the 40-minute running time, and also because it was a rather depleted version of the Squad, featuring just two characters: Deadshot and Cupid, with the focus very much on the former. Again, we are left to presume he died without having confirmation, so his character could still be out there, while the Suicide Squad in general is something that could still exist. Lyla may have resigned from A.R.G.U.S, but with H.I.V.E set to turn up then theres every chance they could be involved once more. However, theres also the not-exactly-insignificant matter of the Suicide Squad movie out next year. We already know that the show couldnt use Harley Quinn because of this, after teasing the character in season 2, and with Deadshot set to play a major role in that film theres a good chance he wouldnt be able to return even if he had survived. DC seem to have fairly flexible rules when it comes to which characters can appear in both TV and film - see: two versions of Barry Allens Flash - but it could be that the entire Squad is off limits. Itll be interesting to see whether any of them, or at least Amanda Waller - who has been active in both the past and present of the show - will appear again.
