Arrow: 8 Plot Threads That Need Resolving In Season 4
7. What Happened To Wildcat
Ted Grant was introduced in season 3 as the owner of Wildcat Gym, a name that would have significant meaning later on in the show, and was responsible for training Laurel as she attempted to take up the Black Canary mantle. It was later revealed that Ted himself had been a vigilante before Oliver, only to give it up after a criminal he was pursuing was murdered by his partner. He dons the Wildcat costume again though when the Glades come under attack from Vinnie Jones Brick, and displays that he is capable of going toe-to-toe with him. Brick eventually gets the better of him, but his life is seemingly spared by Arsenal, while Laurel then protects him as the fight continues. Its suspected that he died during the attack, but its one of those things thats never actually made clear, and if you dont see a character die then theres usually a reason: because theyll be coming back. The writers gave him a backstory, a vague ending and showed that he could be a more-than useful member of Team Arrow, so itd be good know whether or not he did survive, and if so we should see him return - even briefly - to help out the team.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
