Arrow Season 5 Premiere: 13 Questions We're Asking After 'Legacy'

1. Can The Show Get Back To Its Best?

All in all, this was a very enjoyable episode of Arrow. It wasn't great, and it's still not close to being at the level Season 2 was. But, under the direction of James Bamford and with a production team knowing the have to make big changes, it's a clear improvement. It's dark, it's violent, there are some great action scenes, it's got a clear thematic focus, there isn't too much soap opera drama, and no magic to be seen.

It's not the incredible OH MY GOD THE SHOW IS BACK episode it perhaps could've been, but it's a good, promising start. The show wants to get back to basics, and signs are its heading in the right direction (although I am worried about bringing too many new vigilantes into the fold).

Can the show ever get back to its best? Or, failing that (it's a high expectation given how good Season 2 was, and how much it's dipped since), at least get back to being a really good, entertaining, action-filled and exciting dark superhero show? It's started well enough, but needs to continue in that vein and then some.

What questions were you left with after Legacy? Thoughts on the episode overall? Let us know down in the comments.
