Battlestar Galactica: 10 Most Disturbing Episodes

During the early story-arc of the second season, Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace has travelled back to the devastated planet of Caprica. There she has been injured and taken to a strangely quiet hospital and tended too by a doctor called Simon. Here, he tells her that he can tend to her injuries while others in other rooms are dying of radiation poisoning.

He then asks probing questions about her history, hinting at her fear of pregnancy and the abusive nature of her own mother. When Starbuck comes to the realisation that this set-up is a little too convenient for Simon, she starts to look around. Injured and relying on her drip-stand for support, she tries to explore the hospital.

She finds a scene from a body-horror film, with numerous women strapped down onto tables and being experimented upon in an attempt to find a way to crossbreed humans and human-Cylons. Simon, revealed to be one of the Cylon models, states that she should be helping him. Fortunately for her, Samuel Anders and his survivor group were on hand to help.

They swear to find and destroy as many of these 'farms' as they can.
