Battlestar Galactica: All Human Cylon Models Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Number 2: Leoben Conoy

Battlestar Galatica Starbuck Leoben
Universal Studios

Leoben Conoy's story has been linked to Kara Thrace, almost since the first episode of the show. Though his first interactions are with Commander Adama, once he is found and interrogated by Thrace, his true nature becomes more apparent.

He is, by far, the most religious model in the Cylons' ranks. He is open about his obsession with Thrace, as he believes she has a pivotal role to play in all of their destinies (which, in fairness, he is correct about). However, he is amoral and willing to do anything to endear her to him.

Their relationship is almost sadomasochistic in nature. She tortures him at their first meeting, while he kidnaps and mentally tortures her dor the duration of the Cylon occupation of New Caprica. Even after this, she is still fascinated by him. A messenger in the form of Conoy appears to her in her final moments, while her return is marked with another Conoy copy reaching out to her.

He is a funadmentalist, through and through, and it is a testament to Callum Keith Rennie's skills that he may be, in some ways, loathsome - and yet the audience is never less than hooked on what he is doing, what he will do next and whether or not he can be trusted. Just when you think you have him figured out...
