Better Call Saul: 10 Easter Eggs From The Pilot You Have To See

8. Two Car Windshields

Funnily enough, the whole ambulance-chasing con that the skateboarders are running throughout €œUno€ is very much in keeping with Breaking Bad. While as right now the scheming of Saul (or Jimmy, as he was apparently known back then) seems pretty low-scale in comparison to Heisenberg's planning, the two shows have more in common than you'd think. In this episode there are two hit-and-runs that involved car windshields being smashed in: first when Saul/Jimmy hits the skater, and the second when he organises for the same young enterprising fellow to be slammed into by what he thinks is a car driven by a potential customer. Car windshields getting smashed in was something of a running joke in Breaking Bad. It happened to Walt especially, so often in fact that Vince Gilligan talked about it in interviews and people have devised elaborate theories about the windows mirroring their driver's mental states. Which works here too, actually.
