Better Call Saul Season 2: Everything We Know So Far
8. More Mike
Saul Goodman wasn't the only beloved Breaking Bad character to appear in Season 1 of Better Call Saul, as it also (re)introduced us to Mike Ehrmantraut, the fixer who works, at various points, alongside Saul, Gus Fring, and Walter White. While the main series showed him having a tragic end, this one showed his tragic beginnings. Although in the first few episodes he was more of a background figure, operating the toll booth at the courthouse, he became a more prominent player as the season progressed, and the Mike-centric episode Five-O was the highlight of the show's first run, and indeed one of the best TV episodes of 2015 (as well as being one of the most emotional - "my boy.") He and Jimmy started working together, and that's going to continue in Season 2, which should give us even more of Jonathan Banks' character. According to Peter Gould, he's going to go to "some very dark places" and will be "pulled deeper into a world he was sure hed left forever."
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
