Lets be clear: there is no problem whatsoever with Sheldon and Amy being a couple Sheldon was never supposed to be the asexual creature we find him in the later series. What is objectionable is that he should be so utterly useless at it. Mayim Bialik is currently one of the best things on the show, even if the character has some issues. Ever since playing Blossom she has had one of the best comic timings and physical performances of any comedic actress. Simple moments like I have a tiara can leave one helpless with laughter, even the simplest lines can be funny when delivered properly. But are we really to believe that she would spend all this effort and get nothing back? The arent they rubbish at being a couple joke was done with Penny and Leonard and having it rehashed again with Sheldon and Amy is just pointless. Far funnier would be if Sheldon turned out to be so much better at being a boyfriend than the others. Lets have Sheldon pop his Cherry and turn out to be a great boyfriend putting the rest of the group to shame. Or Shamy.
