Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

13. Nacho Varga

Breaking Bad Saul Goodman Bob Odenkirk
AMC

One of the most intriguing additions to the wider Breaking Bad world, Nacho Varga was introduced early in Better Call Saul as a trusted member of the Salamanca drug empire, first serving as Tuco's right-hand before siding with both Hector and Lalo.

Always at odds with his employers and plotting to make a name for himself behind their backs, Nacho is deeply intelligent and brilliantly scheming, though he only reaches his full potential as a character in the third season when he craftily causes the stroke of Don Hector.

Sometimes going long stretches without much to do, Nacho is let-down slightly by his inconsistent appearances, but when he's around it's clear that he's an integral part to both the Salamanca's downfall and Gus Fring's rise to power, answering many questions brought up by Breaking Bad's initial run.
