Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Halloween Heist RANKED!
1. HalloVeen (Season 5 Episode 4)
Five heists in, you might think things are starting to get stale and predictable, but that couldn't be further from the truth. On the contrary, this episode gave all of us the sweetest shock ever with the most seismic surprise of them all: the entire heist was carefully constructed by Jake to act as his proposal to Amy, and it's just the cutest.
Uniquely touching and moving, it's a perfect contrast to the chaos that came before, and it ranks as one of the greatest moments in the entire show, paying off a five-year will-they-won't-they relationship. You could hear shippers squealing with excitement all around the globe. VINDICATION!
But that's not all that makes HalloVeen the ultimate heist. It's packed with some of the most outrageous jokes of them all, from the hilarious opening scene of Holt waiting overnight in Jake and Amy's bedroom, to the brilliant wordplay ("it's one 'bund to none, son!") and the adorable antics with Holt's absolute chonker of a dog Cheddar. The heist movie spoof with Rosa, Terry, and Charles infiltrating the precinct's server room is another highlight.
This heist has it all: amazing character development, non-stop quotable dialogue and guffaw-inducing gags, and a lovably ludicrous plot with surprising twists that keeps you guessing right up until the downright iconic heart-warming ending.
