Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Season Finale Ranked Worst To Best

Which of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's finales were the "noicest"?!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
NBC

You can expect plenty of things from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, such as Halloween Heists, great guest roles, and a boatload of humour. But, there's another quality to the show that really helps it stand above its peers, and that's its ability to create fantastic season finales.

There are plenty of sitcoms that close their seasons out well, but Nine-Nine always goes above and beyond to give you something exciting and hilarious.

Their final episodes never leave you disappointed as they bring the previous chapters of the show together, present interesting plots and often leave you with shocking cliffhangers that have you foaming at the mouth to get your hands on the next season.

With season eight (the final season) etching ever closer to the final finale, now seems like the perfect time to look back on the show and discuss which of its endings did it best, before it comes to a close forever.

While all of these last outings do a great job of concluding their seasons, some stand tall above the rest thanks to their strong writing, clever concepts and overall execution.

7. Crime & Punishment (Season Four)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Fox

Seeing this finale to the tension-filled fourth season at the lowest position here is a testament to the amount of quality coming soon, as this outing can't be considered bad by any stretch of the imagination. It's a solid episode with a great mission, some fun moments and an overall sense of dread. But, there are a few setbacks that pull it down.

After being framed for bank robbery by the dirty cop Melanie Hawkins (one of the show's best villains), Rosa and Jake battle in the courtroom to defend their names. In order to save them, Amy ventures off to find the last witness who can testify against Hawkins and keep the Nine-Nine family together.

The central selling point for this episode was how high the stakes were. We were used to seeing the squad fight some tough battles, but failure here would result in Jake and Rosa going to jail, which kept the outing exciting.

Sadly, while the stakes and final twist were huge, the rest of the episode was a simple McGuffin plot, with multiple characters searching for things and doing little else. This would have worked fine for a mid-season outing, but as a season finale, it was bland.
