Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Most Underused Characters

1. Sunday

Sunday Buffy
Mutant Enemy

No character was as underused in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as one-time villain Sunday. A brutal, darkly hilarious vampire who roamed the grounds of U.C. Sunnydale, she came up against Buffy in the season four premiere and even bested her in a fight.

Deceptively powerful, brilliantly acted by Katharine Towne, Sunday was perhaps the best monster of the week in the entire show.

But, like all good things, her tenure on the show had to come to an end. At the end of the episode, she was staked by Buffy and that was that. But given how cool and entertaining she was, and how lacklustre season four's big bad Adam ended up being, wouldn't it have been amazing to see her stick around as a more permanent fixture of the show?

There were a lot of possibilities for her character, including a chance to see her interact with Spike and form more of a rivalry with Buffy, and her death just makes season four's threats all the more disappointing when you think about what we could have had.
