6. Never Kill A Boy On The First Date
One of the show's most underappreciated gems, Never Kill A Boy on the First Date introduces one of Buffy's core themes: the trials and tribulations of dating, both as a love-struck teen and as the Slayer.
Intent on balancing her destiny with a normal life, Buffy goes out with a guy called Owen, but there date is cut-short when Giles is put in danger and Buffy has to race to the rescue. The only hitch is that Owen is a bit of an adrenaline junky, and has tagged along for the ride.
