Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Every Season 2 Episode Ranked
14. Killed By Death
A rare burst of total horror for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Killed By Death finds the Slayer hospitalised with the flu and forced to do battle with a child-killing monster called Der Kindestod, which just so happens to have a connection with her past.
Unsettling in the best way, the episode slows things down after the death of Jenny Calendar in the previous episode - which is a shame given how dramatic it would've been to make a follow-up more focussed on the implications of her murder - and allows Buffy to combat her guilt and put at least some of her messy past to bed.
Thanks to the imagery of Der Kindestod and Buffy's development, Killed By Death is an underrated gem that may come at the wrong part of the season, but still leaves a memorable mark.
