Xander Harris spends much of the show's run its most self-destructive figure, at once arrogant and loyal, and selfless and cruel. Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered is an early taste of how his immaturity often lands him in hot water.

Dumped by Cordelia on Valentine's Day, Xander enlists the help of local wicca Amy (first encountered last season in Witch) to perform a love spell on Cordy. The spell backfires, though, and suddenly every woman in Sunnydale is dangerously vying for his attention.

Funny and increasingly disturbing, the episode does a lot to dig into Xander's insecurities and the way magic works in the series. Your love for it will depend on how much you can stomach Xander's flaws, but it still makes for a great little thriller.
