6. Amanda Leaves Daniel
Peering through the looking glass, it's become obvious that the perfect life of the Larusso's is far from ideal, especially with Daniel's constant fixation on Karate. The car dealership they co-own is being neglected, the family they maintain has been severely affected and Johnny taking up more of Daniel's thoughts than his own wife is surely taking its toll.
The couple reconciled somewhat in a stand-out season 2 episode, but the spectacular finale has once again upset the apple cart. Amanda is our eyes and ears into the Larusso family, and despite her witty dialogue elevating every scene it's in, how much can she take before the repercussions of Daniel's crusade cause her to leave?
Filming has taken place in Okinawa for the upcoming season, and presumably will be the venue for Daniel's reignited feud with Chozen, so the delicious question is why is he there to begin with? On multiple occasions in both the films and the series Daniel looks to Mr Miyagi for guidance, and returning to his mentor's home-island could be as a result of Amanda's departure.
The Larusso's marriage has been severely strained by the events of the show; believing the damage to be irreparable isn't a huge leap.
