Cobra Kai Season 3: 10 Bold Predictions
3. Miguel Dies
Cobra Kai has plenty of compelling characters to follow as the show continues, but for the first twenty episodes Miguel's development from introverted to assertive has undoubtedly been at the heart of the show's emotional weight.
Miguel's a good kid fighting the corruption that power inevitably brings, and though his relationship with Tory drew him towards developing a bad guy status, the character is fundamentally a good person, as is highlighted in every scene spend with his family.
Robby, on the other hand, is the direct antithesis of Miguel. He's presented as a bad person being drawn to the light and his journey to discovering karate comes from the desire to separate himself from his juvenile past. As the rivalry between the two comes from completely different perspectives, it strengthens the narrative knowing they are so polarising.
The finale fight scene was Miguel at his most emotional, and the tussle with Robby was the character feeding on the power that physical capability brings. He's obviously in a bad way once the credits roll on season 2, and though losing him would be a blow for the series, it would provide such a compelling hurdle for Robby (and Johnny) to overcome.
