Cobra Kai Season 3: 10 Bold Predictions

2. Terry Silver Returns

Cobra Kai does a wonderful job of creating wonderful new characters to inhabit the Karate Kid universe, but that doesn't mean that appealing to nostalgia can't propel the story forward also.

The Karate Kid Part III isn't praised for much, but Thomas Ian Griffith's portrayal of bad-to-the-bone billionaire Cobra Kai owner Terry Silver is always considered one of the film's only highlights. Silver smugly deceives Daniel, pretending to be an ally while slowly corrupting his karate, before unveiling himself as the film's primary antagonist.

Though Yuji Okumoto is set to reprise his role as Chozen in season 3, the return of the Silver-tongued Terry Silver would present a fresh, exciting villain who was previously the lone stand-out of the dismal Karate Kid Part III. Piling on the pre-existing baddies might not seem like a wise idea, isolating new fans who are untrained in the wax-on and wax-off technique present in the films, but bringing back an iconic villain in cinema history is surely never a bad move.

The return of Cobra Kai was a huge gut-punch to Daniel in season one of the show, but reintroducing the man who perhaps inflicted the most psychological trauma could provide a spectacular knock-out blow.
