Community: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One
4. Andre Bennett
Played by: Malcolm-Jamal Warner
There are two types of people in Community. Shirley, and her husband Andre.
The first is a loving, albeit passive aggressive mother of two who (mostly) always puts the needs and welfare of others before herself and only tends to get embroiled in petty squabbles when the topic comes to either religion or her personal life.
Andre banged a stripper, left his wife, remarried her, left her again and took the kids. What a guy.
It's quite hard to judge Andre in the build-up, since we don't know him outside of the group's conversations until he finally explodes onto the scene prancing around like Boyz II Men circa 1991. And, just like Britta, we're not immediately smitten by Andre's showmanship or his artificial, romantic antics.
When he tries to reignite the old flame with his old flame, he does it with passion and style so sincere that we can't help but believe he's absolutely ingenuous. Yet again though, he undoes all of this once the beans are spilled on Shirley and Chang's affair and he stomps out of the study room like a 250-pound baby.
This isn't the last time we see him. There is a brief exchange of atonement and revelations between him and Jeff shortly after, but once Jeff runs off into the rain, it doesn't take long for Andre to metaphorically make like the wind.
