Daredevil: 10 Reasons Jon Bernthal Is Perfect For The Punisher

1. It's His Time

Jon Bernthal has a pretty solid resume. There's the occasional dud like the recent Witches Of Eastwick TV adaptation, and the aforementioned Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. But he's also done all the usual things a rising star has to, like guest roles in Law & Order (both SVU and Criminal Intent) and a sitcom (How I Met Your Mother). He also has some outright success, like The Walking Dead, Fury, and The Wolf Of Wall Street. It's just that he wasn't playing a lead role in any of them. Punisher isn't necessarily a lead role either €“ he is, after all, appearing in Daredevil rather than his own series. But it is one of the biggest roles he's had so far. The main reason Jon Bernthal is perfect for Frank Castle? It's his time. The stars are aligned, he's put in the grunt work, and it's about time it paid of with an even higher level of celebrity, acclaim, and another captivating character for the actor to play. He's at exactly the right point in his career to play The Punisher, in every way. And who's going to tell him otherwise, huh? After all, there's always time for him to suffer a fourteenth broken nose...
