David Tennant Readying His Suit For Doctor Who Return?

“I cannot be drawn on anything... Who knows what will happen next year?

David Tennant was far and away the most popular Doctor Who in the history of the show and many fans still hold him in high regard. So, when talk turns to the upcoming 50th Anniversary celebrations of the sci-fi show, if there are to be returns for any previous Doctors then it is fair to say that Tennant would be top of the list. The Scottish actor who commanded the TARDIS from 2005 to 2010 has been a bit coy and quiet on the subject of possibly appearing in the series again, but his recent comments to the Press Association have perhaps given Who-fans a hope that they could yet see the tenth Doctor stepping out of those blue doors once more. Tennant said,
€œI cannot be drawn on anything" he said. "Who knows what will happen next year? I'm sure there are lots of plans being discussed in quiet rooms by men with long beards and grey hair.€
Referencing some of the rumours currently circulating social media sites, he added, €œI'm not confirming or denying anything. Twitter nothing. It's nothing to do with me." However, while nothing too much was given away in those sentences, he went on to mention that he still has the suits he wore in the role.
€œI do have it in a very secure location, yes... I have one of everything that I wore (on Doctor Who). It got given to me in hermetically sealed suit bags at the end, which I have got squirrelled away somewhere - I hope the moths haven't got in. I could be in for a nasty surprise."
Would he really be worried about moths if he did not intend wearing the suit again? With a year to wait for the culmination of 50 years of Doctor Who and whatever it may bring, there is plenty of time for more information to come. The new series of Doctor Who kicks off in the Autumn on BBC One.
