Doctor Who: 10 Alien Worlds That Need To Be Revisited

3. Traken - The Keeper Of Traken

Traken is somewhat unique in Doctor Who lore as being one of the only pacifist planets where the people manage to avoid (for the most part) coming off as naive to the point of being a bit dim. The planet is so well known for its kindness and general good vibes that it's a very big deal when the Malkur, a malevolent calcified figure, shows up on Traken. Of course, rather than destroying the Malkur like any reasonable Earthling would have done, they pity and care for it. Which is probably a bad plan, considering that it's actually the Master in disguise, but hindsight is 20/20. It's one of the more well-developed planets that we see on Doctor Who, especially given that the Fifth Doctor's companion Nyssa hails from there. It would be interesting for the Twelfth Doctor to visit again, maybe to help them come to terms with the concept of moral ambiguity. People who are innocent and trusting are frequently taken advantage of, so it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibilities for another villain to target Traken.
