Doctor Who: 10 Fan Ideas The Show Should Totally Adopt
3. Faces Seen Influence Future Incarnations
This seems like one that the writers are keen to bring into the show, given that the Moff has a ready-made explanation from Davies about why the Twelfth Doctor looks mysteriously like a man he met in Pompeii. Moffat's claimed that the faces the Doctor ends up with aren't always set in stone, and to have faces from his life influence the faces that he later takes on would again, broaden the possibilities of who the Doctor could come become. As he become more and more able to vary his look, by choice or not, it would open the doors up to different races and genders of Doctor, but it would also mean that more actors that have appeared in Doctor Who could one day become the Doctor. It's almost become canon that the Doctor will one day assume the face of Tom Baker again - there is some debate still over who the Curator actually is - but you never know... this idea might entice a few Tennant fans back to the show in the hope that he'll one day be the Doctor again.
