Doctor Who: 10 Great Actors Who Need To Play Villains
7. Idris Elba (On Screen Or Voice)
Having started watching Luther, Ive quickly fallen in love with Idris Elba, and hence need him to be on Doctor Who. He was one of the names that floated around to be the Doctor, as people wanted an black Doctor, but I think he could be just as wonderful as a villain. Elbas voice is what makes me swoon with him. I love a man that has a deep voice, and he brings sort-of intensity in whatever role he plays. While hes known throughout Britain as Luther, a DCI, if casted in Doctor Who, many of us would recognise him. He played Heimdall, the man in charge for watching over the worlds from Asgard in Thor and Thor 2. With being a fan favourite to be the Doctor, he obviously has the fanbase and the following to take on a run of episodes as a villain. However, if needed for one episode, he would also fit, as he wouldnt bring quite the ratings bump from around the world that other actors on this list might. But with enough to make substantial rumours that he would be the Doctor, he would be an incredible villain. Or Doctor 13. BBCs choice.
I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
