Doctor Who: 10 Things We Learned In The Caretaker

9. Danny Pink Takes The News On Earth With Considerable Ease

When Danny asked Clara if the caretaker was an alien, there wasn't any incredulity in his tone. He genuinely believed that might be the answer. For that matter, he also had doubts that Clara really was from Blackpool. Which suggests that whether he's just had his eyes open to the events taking place on Earth since 2005 or that he knows the rich history of Coal Hill School, he at least believes that aliens exist. It was another interesting facet to his character; he's a much more self-aware character than Mickey and Rory ever were. While we came to love both those characters over time, Danny seems to have had a much stronger introduction to the show. If this is what he's like now after five episodes, there is great potential for him to be even more awesome than a certain Roman Centurion who waited for the love of his life for 2,000 years. Of course he needs to form an amicable relationship with the Doctor first and that seems a long, long way off at this point.
