Doctor Who: 10 Ways Patrick Troughton Made The Recorder Cool

8. A Note Of Brilliance

Briefly Noted After he's plopped back into his own timestream by the Time Lords, the Doctor remembers very little of his meeting with his past & future selves. In the 1995 'Doctor Who' Yearbook there's a short story by future new-Who writer Justin Richards which sees the Second venture to an alien music shop with Jamie & Zoe Heriot in tow to buy himself a new one. A brilliant spin on the original 'ricordaire'-from which it gets its name. And what's that in English, you may ask? Simply 'to remember'. Which leads us nicely on... so when I say run, run!
