http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvy_vMBz8Q8 One of the lesser-known 'Who' and indeed recorder facts is that the Second is believed to have treated viewers to no fewer than fifteen blasts of musical magic with a little help from his own choice 'ricordaire'. And that's just counting televised adventures. Even off-screen Pat Troughton was a keen & accomplished player and jumped at the chance to imbue his Doctor with similar skill. Fittingly his first performance of sorts comes in 'The Power Of The Daleks' on Vulcan, subsequently incorporating Scottish music in 'The Highlanders' and going on to get an airing in 'The Underwater Menace' while visiting Atlantis. To which we can add whileunder Yeti capture in Tibet in 'The Abominable Snowmen' and even in front of the Daleks in 'The Evil Of The Daleks'. Jamie goes so far as to force him to leave it in the TARDIS when the crew land in Australia at the start of 'The Enemy Of The World'. And if we delve into his book-based escapades the canny Scot's gone a step further & chopped it into pieces in 'Twin Piques' from the 'Short Trips' series. But the cosmic hobo somehow acquires a new one..
