Love him or hate him, Russell Brand has a solid reputation as a social provocateur and stand-up comic who uses the platform of his act to draw attention to the ridiculous aspects of our society - character traits the anti-authoritarian Doctor would no doubt find particularly endearing. In 2013, Russell gave a widely publicised interview with Jeremy Paxman in which he advocated a "massive redistribution of wealth" to upend the status quo. This is the sort of thing the Doctor, who has been known to bring down entire governments before tea, excels at. Brand is also noted for his quasi-bohemian dress sense, describing his particular sartorial style as "S&M Willy Wonka". Perhaps he and the Doctor could share clothes?
