4. Hettie MacDonald Is Returning To Direct
It isn't just writers who are returning to the fold for Series 9, there will be some familiar faces in the director department, too. Hettie MacDonald, who helmed the classic Series 3 episode Blink, was reinstated to helm the Series 9 premiere which was recently filmed in Tenerife. The show has also welcomed some new directors, too. Episodes 3 and 4 (that aforementioned terrifying two-parter by Toby Whithouse) was directed by Daniel O'Hara whose previous credits include Being Human, Wizards vs. Aliens and Skins. It sounds like the show is in very safe hands thus far!
