Doctor Who: 10 Reasons You'll Never Be Cooler Than The Doctor
5. His Reputation Alone Defeats His Enemies
Most heroes have to go out of their way to try to defeat their enemies. In our mundane world, few people have such a great reputation as to be able to dissuade their enemies without doing a single thing. The Doctor is able to simply let his enemies know who he is and what he's accomplished, and then they turn tail and run. Prisoner Zero from The Eleventh Hour? He gets a taste of what the Doctor has accomplished in the past, and gets out of dodge. The Daleks in Asylum of the Daleks? They check their memory banks, see who the Doctor is, and then let him go without a fight. Not many other people can say that they've accomplished so much that they can do that. Pretty soon the Doctor won't even have to leave the TARDIS anymore.
